brand new ipod 5 battery drians quickly? :(

i just got my brand new ipod 5 yesterday! i had a 4th gen and i transfered all my data using icloud, so all my songs, apps, contacts, etc went on it. Anyways it drians sooo fast all my friends have the 5g ipod and they said theirs lasts all day and they only charge it once a day. Well for mine i charged it 3 times already and it hasent even been a full day??????? Im confused....my 4th gens battery lasts longer and iv had that for 2 years.... i was expecting an upgrade but no....plus its the same speed as my old ipod i tested it out....😟 so is something wrong???
