Disk Space Available Inconsistent

Hi-

After getting down as low as 15GB free on my MacBook Pro I deleted lots of stuff in an attempt to speed up my computer.

Now, when I go into the finder and Get Info on my HD, it shows 106.77 GB of free space. However, if I go to About This Mac->More Info and look on the storage tab it reports only 71.66 GB of free space. Additionally on the Disk Storage section of the Activity Monitor utility says 71.9 GB of free space.

Does anybody know why these numbers are different and which figure is accurate?

Thanks!

“You may notice a difference in available space statistics between Disk Utility, Finder, and Get Info inspectors. This is expected and can be safely ignored. The Finder displays the available space on the disk without accounting for the local snapshots, because local snapshots will surrender their disk space if needed."
