Why am I being charged to update apps?
I have noticed over the past week that Apple is charging me to update apps I have already purchased. Was there a change in policy regarding updates for apps?

There is no charge to update apps. There has never been a charge for an app update.
There is a charge if you upgrade an app from a lite or free version to a paid version. Are you sure that isn't what happened? Many games have free or lite versions that require a paid upgrade of you want to continue using them.
