How can I authorize my new computer with my itunes account?

I have a new hp laptop and I just downloaded itunes on it. How can I authorize my computer for my ipod?

Press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

Open iTunes, then alt-S to get the Store drop down, then click on Authorize This Computer.
