I notice today the when I open itunes it open in a different desktop and I want to delete it;  I open mission control and see the two desktop but when I hover my cusor over the desktop (with itunes open) no 'x' appears so I am unable to delete it.  I like using only one desktop and don't know what to do at this point.

When you see both desktops with iTunes opened in Mission Control, do you see that the desktop where iTunes is located is named "Desktop 2" or "iTunes". If it's named "iTunes", iTunes is working in full-screen mode, so just open iTunes, move the cursor to the top right corner of the display and press the blue rectangle button to restore iTunes into a classic window

Thanks.  I have followed your instructions but now having only one desktop, when I open iTunes I do get in opened in the sole desktop but I can't see or scroll to the bottom of iTunes window and if I click the arrows (upper right), I am taken to the new desktop.

So when you open iTunes, it's opened on a new, normal desktop. Or does it look like this example? This example is with Safari:

That was the circumstance but not it opens in my desktop but once I got out of 'full screen', things are back to normal..

    Thanks,

Thank you!  Mine was in full screen mode too and it's now fixed!
