Q: Drivers maintenance and updating in a bootcamp enviroment?

I just got my MBP up, running, and bootcamped after a system crash that took 2 weeks and lots of help to resolve (many thanks to Apple support staff; you guys rock). Are there any guidelines  or rules of thumb for  choosing which system driver updating is done from/to?

I'm running OS X 10.6 and Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit primarily for playing World of Warcraft in Win 7. I received a notification from the game that my graphics drivers are out of date. Should I dl/install Windows version or Apple version drivers? btw, the game olays fine despite having out-of-date vid drivers.

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.3), Bootcamped Windows 7 65bit Ultimate

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities

I have heard that some Macs need the graphic driver which Apple provides better than the driver which the manufacturer provides, but I recommend you to install the driver which the manufacturer provides to get the maximum performance and not have an old version installed, because Apple doesn't update the graphic driver often.

You can install the driver from Windows Update (probably Windows has notified you of a new version through Update) or from the graphic manufacturer's website to make sure that you install the most recent version
