when trying to select a carrier my iphone says that my cell network is restrictedand to choose a different one. says the same for all carriers. but in other phones the sim still works?

The device is most likely carrier locked.
it was working fine no problems then middle of one day it locked out every carrier
Where did you get the phone? It sounds like it's been blacklisted.
i have had it for over a year...working fine. bought it off a friend
what would make them blacklist my phone ? why wouldnt they just kill my sim card?
the problem isnt on my carriers end cause the chip still works in other phones
