How add new iPhone 5 as a device that auto syncs with my itunes account on my laptop

I have bought an iPhone 5. My iPhone 3Gs auto syncs with itunes on my laptop. How do I add the 5 so that it will auto sync and the laptop adds all my apps and music, pictures when I connect to the laptop? Thanks

With the iPhone connected to your computer, make your selections under the various tabs for the iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. Under the Summary tab for the iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, select Automaticaly sync when this iPhone is connected followed by selecting Apply.
