Connected I-Touch 5 to computer nothing happens except for the beep .

iPod touch (5th generation), iOS 6.1.3

Start with

Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7

or

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
