Synching to multiple devices

Has anyone tried this?

I have an iMac, Mac Book Air and iPad.

Currently I'm only WiFi synching the iPad with the iMac only.

What would happen if I also enabled WiFi synching with the Mac Book Air?

Would the iMac and MBA get confused with what apps (etc.) to really synch with the iPad?

Would it end up being a mess?

Ideas?
