Go to System Preferences, General, and change Recent Items to none or zero. Restart your computer.
It didn't solve the problem.
I didn't solve the problem. After restart the messages window and e-mail popped up on start up.
Go to System Preferences / Users & Groups
Click on the padlock and authenticate. Then click on on your name and Login Items.
Select anything you do not want to open at login, then click the - sign. You have to do each one in turn.
Restart to verify it worked.
I was only able to solve this problem by unclicking reopen all windows on restart, of course Mendis steps must be made previously.
