Apr 27, 2013 6:25 PM in response to RadioactiveStardustby randers4,Google Maps can be added back to your phone after you update. It is now available as a free app (see https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/google-maps/id585027354?mt=8).

May 2, 2013 11:51 PM in response to randers4by 24Golfer,But the Apple Maps problems have not been resolved, correct? Still glitchy?
I'm still on 5.1.1 because of it - I'm waiting for proper integration of Address Book to the Maps app and vice versa, so that I can use the Maps app like I still do on the old Maps app in the old iOS that I use to great effect.

May 3, 2013 1:53 AM in response to 24Golferby Meg St._Clair,I've had no problems with the integration of the Maps app with contacts. Nor have I ever heard of anyone complaining that was an issue before this. Especially outside of the U.S., map data can be thin and turn by turn directions a bit problematic. If you are in the U.S., you probably won't see any issues with the Maps app. And, as pointed out, if you need other mapping apps, you can download Google Maps or any of the other availale ones.

May 5, 2013 10:15 AM in response to 24Golferby Meg St._Clair,The included Maps app, regardless of where it is getting its mapping information (Google prior to iOS 6, Apple after that) has always been integrated into contacts. That has never changed.

Thanks. I love you.
You're welcome. Please don't tell my boyfriend, though.
