iTunes Visualizer Won't Run...

I'm running iTunes on a Mac mini. I have been using the visualizer for fun recently. It was running fine.
Now when I activate it the Apple icon, the song info and graphic show up but the screen behind it remains black. I have re-installed the app. and still nothing. Any ideas what it might be?...

Thanks

Mac Mini Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Did you try iTunes from another user account? No problem evident would indicate a User Library file issue.

If it is User Library related, one possible solution is to move to the trash the iTunes preference files found in your User Library/Preference folder. On the restart, test the visualizer. If it works, then you'll need to reset your iTunes preferences to your previous settings (if different than the default values).

iTunes preference files:
com.apple.iTunesHelper.plist
com.apple.iTunes.plist
com.apple.iTunes.eq.plist
