Whether you can re-download music will depend upon what country that you are in (it's not currently possible in all countries) and whether they remain in the store (the record companies occasionally remove them). If they show under the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your Mac's iTunes then you can re-download them for free - if they show as 'downloaded' under that link then you may still have the 'pointers' to them in your library (i.e. where you would click on them to play them), in which case delete those 'pointers' and 'downloaded' should then change to a cloud symbol for re-downloading.

I am annoyed beyond imagination. I bought a double album in 2012, and half of the songs came in with the title "track 1", "track 2", etc. I have tried to re-download the songs, they show up in my purchased list but it says 'downloaded' and I have not been able to find a re-download button anywhere. I have contacted Apple, but never received an answer. It *****.
