Q: I have a 16GB SD card that my Macbook Pro used to see, but now will not.  Please help!

I have rebooted the computer several times, this process used to work.  Just trying to pull photos from my digital camera into Iphoto.

Thank you!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Try image capture (in your applications folder) - or the finder - if neither of these see the card uyou need to try a USB card reader - once you get yoru photos off use the camera format command to erase and reformat the card

a best practice to is to never have any computer program (including iPhoto) delete the photos from the card but to import the photos and keep them and then after at least one successful backup cycle has completed and then reformat the card --  I use three very large (32 GB) cards in rotation so I do not reformat for typically a year or more giving me one more long term backup of my photos

Can Image Capture (in your Applications Folder) see the card? Are you using a cable to your camera? A Card reader?
