Virus on Macbook Pro?

Today when I was on Microsoft Word (the only application open), doing an essay, my cursor suddenly went out of control and started clicking random things and I couldn't control it at all... it even changed my desktop background! I wasn't even touching the mousepad... Does anyone know if it might have been a virus/if someone hacked my laptop somehow? Because I've heard that it's highly unlikely for Macs to obtain viruses. I'm too scared to log in to any of my personal accounts now 😟 Help would be appreciated! 😢

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

It's not malware of any kind. As to what it could be, see:

My mouse keeps moving around on its own, as if someone is remotely controlling my Mac!
