Can you provide some more details on what is happening when you try to configure the Vizio TV to connect to the wireless network?
In other words, what steps are you taking? What happens after each step?
Might you have a link to the Setup Manual for the Vizio TV that you have?
I bought a Vizio 32" wifi TV, and finally got a straight answer from Vizio Tech Support - Vizio does not work with Apple wireless routers.
They advised buying a non-Apple router and use WPA and not WPA2 security setting, OR take the TV back.
I have tried connecting using an Apple Time Capsule with WPA2 security. Changed to WPA/WPA2 security in hopes it was a security connection problem, no joy. The TV retains my sign in information, but always asks for router password, then says "cannot connect". I removed all security from router, and was able to connect one time, but after that the Vizio would not connect.
No point in having wifi TV if will not connect to Apple routers. Vizio Tech is less than honest in that first 3 contacts they advised it was my internet providers fault, then Apples fault, despite other wifi devices working flawlessly at same time. Finally, one Tech was honest and said it would not work, and Vizio knows it.
This is quite a few years later, but what the heck: I just bought an AmTran TV, which is basically Vizio without the branding. And for whatever reason, it will connect fine to my wifi network when I'm just using an Apple Extreme. But when the Apple Express on the same network (right beside the TV!) is turned on, the TV won't connect. It looks like it's connecting, but it doesn't.
I'm planning to use almost everything on the TV through an as-yet-unpurchased Apple TV anyway, so at the moment I'm assuming this is going to be more of a quirk than an annoyance.
