I would like to use a bi-lingual dictionary (French to English) when reading in Safari and other applications. Right now, only definitions in French are shown for French words.

On my Kindle Paperwhite, I have the option to install custom dictionaries. It is then very easy to look up definitions of words when reading: Simply touching a word is sufficient to get a translation.

It would be great if this was also possible in iOS.

I see this is an older question and now there is a French-English dictionary you can turn on on iOS devices -- which is great since I work both in English and French. I also work in Russian and right now (fall, 2016) the only Russian dictionary is a Russian-to-Russian dictionary. I can muddle through that but most of us would find a simple Russian-English dictionary more helpful. Any plans for this?
