So I need to edit some pictures and my aperature library told me I had insufficient space to import any pictures. So i moved all my pictures to an external hard drive and delted all the albums from the side panel in Aperature. Then re-tried to add the pictures and I STILL don't have enough space? How is that even possible. Please help!

Where is your Aperture Library located? On your system drive or on an external drive?

What exactly did you move? Your Aperture Library? Referenced original image files?

Deleting albums will not free space. Albums only reference the images in the projects. Or did you delete projects as well?
