Both Mail and Safari appear to be corrupted on my llate 2008 macbookpro using snow leopard 10.63. mail will not send and entries typed into safari pages cause the page to jump around.. Is there any way to reinstall those programs from my operating system disk? Alternately can i reformat the hard drive I am backed up to Carbonite as well as time machine

YUP!
Boomer: I was able to reinstal the software but that did not solve the problem Safari is still acting strange, somethings asking me if I want to submit a response. And Mail does not allow me to send emal
Any other ideas?

If reformatting the hard drive would fix this, I willing o give it a try.

Interestingly, the two programs are now working correctly. I did no do anything although there was a software upgrade yesterday. I have to assume tha did it
