Q: my ipad is locked

my ipad is locked on the default screen and the message to do the iCloud Backup.  It is not hooked up the WiFi and I can't turn it off HELP

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 6.1.3

Perform a Reset...

 

Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )

 

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.
