Hi,

We have just purchased Apple TV and can't connect to Home Sharing. We have wifi, the iPad is updated. I can't find the link on ITunes on the iPad that the tv is telling me to click. I've also tried turning it on via settings then music which seems to be connected. I can view YouTube clicks on the tv, but not an app so I can watch the footy. What am I doing wrong.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks, but I've checked that. The iTunes on this iPad doesn't have the 'home share' link and I can't find the advanced link its also asking.

When we got the iPad we hooked it up to a friends computer to get it working, could this be a problem?

Make sure your Apple TV is on the same network as your iPad. The SSID and password of router must be set in your Apple TV.

First to find it on your iPad you would Do the Following: Settings>Scroll to the Music Setting> Check to see if your signed in.

If your NOT signed in then you will need to Sign in Using your Apple ID to access the Home Sharing Option,

iTunes>Files>Home Sharing. As before if your not signed in you'll need to be signed in using your Apple ID in order to use Home share.

Yep signed in, however, when in iTunes I can't find files. When I open iTunes it doesn't have the left hand tool bar, it's just gives me the option to purchase tv, music movies etc. I don't have any music downloaded on the iPad.
