PLEASE Help! My Boss's Movies are missing from iTunes!

Some one please help!! And with good news!! I am helping my boss install a second Apple TV to show short clips of patients that we have made using iMovie for iPad. This Apple TV is a second gen. The first Apple TV is a first generation and we have had a lot of trouble getting all the glitches worked out!! I finally have everything working properly EXCEPT all but one of the movies he has purchased on the original Apple TV are GONE!! I can still see the folders in the iTunes folder (iTunes/media files/ movies), but they are all emptly except for the iTunes Extras!! The movie itself is missing. We are talking about around 20 movies!! I thought they were backed up to the Cloud, but only one iTunes Extra has a cloud icon next to it.... Panicking here!! How is this even possible?!? Please help!! 😢

If purchased from iTunes: Downloading past purchases from App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

As for the non-purchased movies: I hope you saved them on an iDevice, USB Flash Drive OR External Hard Drive..... otherwise, your out of luck.

Most of these movies were purchased through iTunes, maybe a couple were purchased through the Apple TV itself. Not to be a complete idiot, but I did look at that page earlier today, but not sure about step 7 "Click the download icon to download that item. " When it says download icon, is that the cloud because there aren't any clouds next to any of these items. Thank you so much for your help!!

Yes it is the cloud. If it doesn't show: Some of my iTunes Store purchases won't play - Support - Apple

Not giving up hope yet!! Almost all of the movies were purchased through iTunes, with only a couple being purchased through the Apple TV. There are only 2 computers authorized on this iTunes account and none of these movies were downloaded on to the other PC. The cloud column is there in iTunes, but there is no cloud to click on to download. Still....in....panic....mode.......

The "iCloud Status" says "Purchased" Does that mean anything helpful?

I'm not completely sure.

Finally got this issue solved and I didn't have to pay to re-download everything. Basically, iCloud could see the movies folders still there so it would not let me redownload. I had to go into my library and delete the movies that could not be located so that the iTunes Store would allow me to redownload. Just make sure that if you do this you do NOT DELETE OR HIDE the movies in the Cloud!!
