Buying temporary Internet for iPad?

Hi, I'm quite a techie phobe but currently use our iPad (without 3g) at home using home broadband. We are going abroad (to spain) and would like to still go online. Is there any temporary Internet we can buy? People have mentioned USB sticks, but where do they plug in? The place we are staying doesn't have wifi so that's not an option. Many thanks for any advice you may have, Jo!

You can purchase mobile hotspots for the iPad. You can Google "mobile hotspots" or "MIFI" and see what you can come up with. The device will act as the hotspot but you will still need to buy a data plan and I assume that you would have to purchase a plan in Spain. I'm not sure how those plans work internationally. I have a Verizon MIFI that I use here and it is on a month to month plan without a contract, but I've never tried using it out of the country.
