I cannot print coupons on my Mac regardless of what I do. I am directed to install Software Updates but no updates are available.

iMac (24-inch Early 2008), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

Based on your other posting, the web site is apparently coupons.com, and the site is requiring you to load Java.

Java is a package that Apple deprecated some time ago and that must now be loaded from its provider, Oracle corporation.

Caution: empirical evidence indicates Java has been very insecure software in the last few years and with many critical security vulnerabilities allowing remote attackers full access to your Mac; Java was the basis of a number of (successful) attacks against OS X security.

(Why a coupon web site downloads and executes Java code on your Mac is not clear to me, but I'd wonder what other local information that Java might be collecting from your Mac or what else the package might be doing beyond printing coupons.)

Here's the Oracle Java download web page.

You'll need to keep Java current, too.
