Q: My iPhone 5 won't connect via bluetooth with MacBook Air

You don't connect via bluetooth.  Here are the supported bluetooth profiles http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3647

NOt sure what your trying to do, but look at hotspot http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4517

You can only do wifi sync, but can't use bluetooth not a feature of the iphone.

So after you have check sync this iphone over wifi, did you try to quit itunes and restart your phone?

Are you on wifi?

Do you have checked in itunes - sync iphone over wifi?

You've restarted your router also?

check network connection?

check for network interference?

Disabled your anti-virus software?

I'm a bit late coming in here but you're iphone will only sync with your computer via wifi if your phone is plugged into an electric socket.

I have the same issue. I was told during the sales blurb, that you could start writting a message on the iPhone and finish it off on the MacBook Air. Please advise.
