How do I delete old boarding passes?

Look in the lower right corner, there is a very faint i...tap that, then the trash can in the upper left corner and confirm delete this pass.

Yep, that worked and explains why I didn't try that before:

It says "Delete" (no trash can iOS8.1), right above an area that looks for all intents and purposes, like the installed APP that generated the pass, and thus gave me the impression that I'd be deleting the APP rather than the PASS in the passbook.

Is there a way to delete multiple boarding passes at one time? I have 20+ United passes. I would prefer to not open and manually delete each one.

One thing I also realized (for others reading this thread later), you cannot delete the boarding pass while your screen is locked (i.e., accessing Wallet via double-clicking the home button with the screen locked). If you try like I did, I can click the "i" icon all day and flip the boarding pass, but there is no delete option. You have to access the Wallet app normally with the screen unlocked and then when you click the "i" icon the "Delete" option appears. I spent 10 minutes trying to figure this out.
