i accidently deleted a device from my Apple ID account and want to reinstate it. How?

I was having problems with syncing my sons ipod which was linked to my apple ID. AS part of trouble shooting it i deleted it from 'manage my devices' thinking i could reinstate it, but i am having trouble getting it back on? please can anyone advise?
