Why does Pages scroll all on-its own?

With my iMac as my Operating System, I use Mac OS X v10.8.3. It came with Pages '09 v4.3 (1048). But what do you know? Pages has a problem.

Pages scrolls just a-little All on its Own. How downright _irritating_ to use an app like Pages. :-(

But come to-think of it, Safari acts this way, too! In fact, where I type can go off the-screen Quickly. [Does anyone else see this, please?]

I must _either_ scroll-back to position myself _or_ type any character to see it return naturally. < Boo to Apple, for once! >
