Music no longer showing in 'purchased'

Some songs on a previously purchased album are cutting off mid-song. I want to download the album again but it no longer shows in 'Store>Purchased'. I checked my purchase history and it shows there... odd?

I checked the forums and troubleshooted with the Cloud and that is not the issue. It seems as though the 'Purchased' section only lists recently purchased items... but nothing from +12 months past.

Any help is appreciated

Hi MeltedBlue,

Your Purchased items do not exist under Purchased in the Store on the sidebar. You have to click on iTunes Store (open the store), and then click on the Music tab. Then, on the right side, you will see Quick Links. Click on the Purchased there.

A screen willl come up with the same tabs you see in the Store - Music, Apps, Movies, etc.

Clic on the Music tab and then click on All Songs or on a specific Artist. You can also click on Not on This Computer, or on All at the top.

You will then see all of your Purchased songs. If they have a cloud next to them, you can re-download them - either individually, or by clicking Download All at the bottom.

If a cloud is not showing, it means the item is still in your iTunes Library, and needs to be deleted before you can re-download.

Cheers,

GB

Hi,

Realize it's an old thread, but it closely matches my issue, with the exception that when I "Click on the Music tab and then click on All Songs or on a specific Artist. You can also click on Not on This Computer, or on All at the top".... no music shows up, with exception of two most recent purchases. Anything older is missing. Any ideas? Thanks

Three questions:

1. Are you certain the computer is Authorized to the Apple/iTunes ID you are signed on with?

2. Are you certain that the purchases you are looking for were not purchased using a different Apple/iTunes ID?

3. Are you sure those purchases are not hidden: Click on your logon name in iTunes, click on Account Info, under iTunes in the Cloud, click on Manage next to Hidden Purchases

Cheers,

Hello GB,

1) yes

2) yes

3) interesting....(I actually created my own question on this issue, here's what I posted..." something wacky is going on! Just logged into store and account again - gone to "hidden purchases - Lo and behold - there's a whole list of stuff hidden that shouldn't be!

So I click the unhide button and slowly the list goes down, however there are 3 albums that won't "unhide". If I chose a different view of the list ... it repopulates again with hidden items (different from before) if I go to the TV shows or films tab and then back to music tab, then the list repopulates again, despite previously being empty (except for the 3 albums that won't "ever unhide") Wacky, wacky."

Thanks for your response.

Cheers

Hello again GB,

I did a bit more playing...

Login to account from iTunes Menu bar > View Account > Hidden Purchases > Music Tab (top right)

Songs tab (center screen) > view: most recent…. all hidden items disappear and message "no hidden music purchases"

If I change the view to: name …. then they reappear

Albums tab (center screen) > view: most recent… all hidden items disappear and message “no hidden music purchases”

If I change the view to: name …. then they reappear

This has to be a bug, no?! I've deleted the offending items from my iTunes library and emptied trash. Same happens if I access the account from a different device.
