BUG: Speaker Balance Changing Automatically

My speaker balance on my late 2012 (new) iMac 27" keeps automatically changing. Im using music all the time and it gets very annoying! please fix if anyone from Apple support sees this! I know of course how to fix this issue in the short run and edit the speaker balance but I'd prefer a long term fix. Thanks!
