iTunes won't let me un-hide hidden music.

I'm using iTunes for OS X 11.0.2.

Somehow iTunes decided to delete and hide all of a particular artist's tracks from my playlists. Well, okay.

So I go to my iTunes account, and I am greeted with the note, "You have hidden 5 items."

I click on "View Hidden Purchases," and -- "You have no hidden music purchases."

What gives? Why can't I see (and unhide) my hidden music? Any fixes for this?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.5)

Just to add one thing to this: I've tried going to the iTunes Store to re-download this content. No luck. The Store thinks they're purchased, and apparently won't let me re-purchase them. A total mess and a real database fail from Apple on this one.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.
