Email verification sent by "applesupportteam@icloud.com" Is it a scam?

I just received this email, the actual message was a PDF attachement:

Confirm your email address

Dear Email Users,

As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activiy in the E-mail system and after noticing an issue on your account password, we are requesting confirmation from you for the following reason:

Our system requires further password verification. In accordance with E-mail User Agreement, your account access will remain limited until the issue has been resolved. Unfortunately, if access to your account remains limited for an extended period of time, it may result in further limitations or eventual account closure.

To verify your E-mail account, you must reply to this email immediately and enter your following information.

First Name:

Last Name:

Email Username:

Email Password:

Thank you for using webmail

Icloud.com support team.

This looks like a scam to me, so obviously I wont respond, but Apple should send a statement to its users stating to ignore this if they receive it. Can anyone confirm that this is BS!

... Apple should send a statement to its users stating to ignore this if they receive it.

They have:

Identifying fraudulent "phishing" email

Identifying legitimate emails from the iTunes Store

The iTunes Store will never ask you to provide personal information or sensitive account information (such as passwords or credit card numbers) via email.

I received an e-mai AGAIN for the 5th time, And i have been a victim of identitiy fraud in the last couple of months for an amount of £600.
I do believe this is linked to the fraud, as i did at one point give my details, (naive i know), but it seemed legit.This is the exact same e-mail which i am sure is a phishing scam.
Check the small print as that provides the evidence, and as for the sender, it says 'presence unknown' - Which is enough proof i believe. Hope this helps 🙂

If you do follow the link to 'verify now' it will bring up this page. I really do think this is the phishing scam. As my account still works, i doubt that somebody has hacked into it.
