Disc can't be verified but it's OK

Every time I burn a DVD I get an error message.( I exaggerate, 9 out of 10 times.)

"This disc can't be verified and might be unreadable.

Try again using a new blank disc(error code 0x80020063)"

I open the disc it's fine.

However it's really slow to do this each time as

I'm burning many large images which open really slowly.

It's driving me up a wall !

Any ideas.

I have tried different media brands & types .... same story

These images are going to clients so I do need to know they're good to go

Try cleaning the Superdrive, and resetting the SMC:

Yes,

I insert the disc,

it hows up on the desktop

I open it

drag the files in

clik burn

it asks to be named which I do

it starts the burning process

it then starts the verify process but stops and gives the error code

I appreciate the input,

but I'm not burning thru iDVD

and I have a different error code ie 0x80020063

I did look

suggestions are :

more memory ...I don't need

slower burn speed..I went to the slowest (x2)

labels etc ... not an issue

What brand of media, on what Mac running what versions of OS X?

What application are you using for burning?

Hi thanks

MacPro / dual 3.0/ 10GB ram /OS 10.6.8

Memorex DVD-R 16x bburned at x2

I have tried other media same thing

Using the finder utility

Sorry to have to tell you but Memorex is regarded as particularly poor media. Stick to Verbatim, Maxell or Fuji.

What exactrly are you trying to burn to a DVD?

I have used Maxell and Verbatim with the same results.

I'm burning images (photos) in Tiff and JPG

like a backup / I alternate keeps the wear & tear down
