Yes. You said that twice. Is the battery charged? Will the be battery take a charge at all? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps at all? Can you provide any other details other than "keeps shutting down"?
Katherine44, AND Demo i would just like to add my scenarios of events to a similar problem.
I had about 10% batter left while the ipad 3 was connected to power when suddenly it showed me that circle thing it shows normaly when shutting down with zero battery.....
I thought this was odd since i had literally just checked, and had 10% a minute previous to this event. once shut down it showed the screen when it starts charging from EMPTy ie ( batter and power icon with a tiny red batterey leflariped representing minimal battery but charge is happening....and no sooner had i made this observatio did i notice the apple logo appear.....as though it was starting up fresh...
and for the last 7-8 hours this cycle of events continues over and over and charge level has not increased at all and as soon as the unlock sim screen appears on startup...... it then shuts down and this exact cycle of events just reapeats continuously no rercharging seems to be taking place
PLS PLS help...... any further questions that could help you in anyway regarding OUR scenario. pls dont hesite
to ask.....
if you like i can record the chain of events if that would help u understan what happenubg

I'm sorry, but I just saw your response this morning.... Did you try rebooting the iPad? I don't have much hope that this will work, but try it first.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that doesn't work, and I don't know if it will based on the fact that your iPad has been doing this for hours, you may need to restore the device.
Pay close attention the Additional Information at the end of the support article that talks about using Recovery Mode. In your case, I believe that you will need this method in order to restore.
thanks very much for your help demo, i really appreciate your feed back and will let you know what happens.... as soon as i get home and get to work doing what you said...
thanks again .....will be in contact
You're welcome. Good luck to you!
Yes my battery is fully charged.
