The AirPlay Icon doesn't appear in the multitasking bar if my 4th gen iPad when it's connected to my new AppleTV device. AirPlay works fine with other apps like Photos and Mirroring works fine from my iPhone 4. What's the problem with the iPad?

Thanks Mario for the quick reply, I'd already checked these articles before posting the question.

The strange thing is I've checked AppleTV is working because Mirroring works as it should on my iPhone. I also know AppleTV is talking to the iPad because the Airplay icon appears in the iPad Photos app and photos appear on the TV screen. So why doesn't the Airplay icon appear on the left in the iPad multitasking bar? This means I can't Mirror from my iPad.
