I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 6.0.1 on th sprint network. I wanted to use FaceTime earlier but no wifi was available... I googled the issue and saw that iPhones with iOS 6 could use the phone carriers network/data plan... I checked my FaceTime settings and saw no way to switch it over... How do I FaceTime with no wifi???

The option to use 3G (cellular data) for FaceTime is not available in the iPhone 4.

That's NOT true I have used my FaceTime without wifi on my tmobile network. They had to do something in their computers
Then YOUR phone has been modified/hacked/changed outside of Apple's parameters.
this is straight from the apple website: *FaceTime video calling requires a FaceTime-enabled device for the caller and recipient and a Wi-Fi connection. FaceTime over a cellular network requires iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, or iPad (3rd generation) with cellular data capability. Availability over a cellular network depends on carrier policies; data charges may apply.

Or your phone is not an iPhone 4.
