When I try to make a slideshow by clicking on create and choosing slide show it crops the photos. Is there any way to fix this. Please answer simply as I'm not a techie person. These are photos that I have taken on both my I-phone and with a camera.

What is the theme you are using with your slideshow? The newer themes need to crop the slides to fit them to the layout. You will get the best results with the simple "Classic" theme.
Also, uncheck the option "Scale photos to fill screen" in the slideshow settings, if you do not want the photos to be cropped. This option is not available in all themes.
