photostitch for iphone or mac?

i have started playing with "Panorama" function on my iPhone and i would really love to know if there are any good recommendations for a "photostitch" application for either as an "on the go" app for iPhone or a mac-based one for my Mac.

i have tried a bunch of these that were PC based and the algorithms all seemed to yield different results with some giving really fantatstic and easy results and some giving fantatstic results after a lot of effor and some being just very hard to get good results from.

also, some seemed to work very well with tightly controlled "rotating panorama" photos (all in a line) whereas others seemed to adapt really nicely to "tiled shots".

i am actually thinking of doing some semi-artistic "stitched tiled" panoramas (so i can do this spending more time on the computer) but i am also wondering it there is an app for the iphone that would be like "tile these upcoming photos" which would be very cool.

anyway, i have a recent version of photoshop so if i shouldn't bother trying to search any more for this and i should just use PS on my desktop that would be good to know as well.

TIA

For your IOS devices I can recommend "360° Panorama" for stitching - it is easy to use, see: http://occipital.com/360/app at the iTunes App Store.

On my Mac I prefer "Panorama Maker 5" http://www.arcsoft.com/panorama-maker-mac/ - it is not free however.

Hugin is a highly recommended free panorama stitcher, but no so easy to use as Panorama Maker, see
