suddenly out of the blue, I cannot synch my ipod touch wt my mac. When it is connected I do not see it in my itunes, Is there a way to get the synching function back, on the left side in itunes?

In itunes under file, when I choose devices and ty to synch my ipod touch, synch ****ipod is not highlighted black, so I cannot use it. How do I get this feature back?

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar
