I have an iPad 3 and the Reader's Digest application installed

I am having trouble getting the application to open the library or display any magazines in the store. I have the current OS, have downloaded the application several times, restarted the iPad. Always get the same error " Cannot open library. An error has occurred." When I try to access the store, I can see book and kids stuff, but the magazine and free pages won't load at all. I have used this broken app to update my account, so it's not totally corrupt. Just can see and download magazine. Any help would be appreciated.

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 6.1.3
