If I make a typo in an email address I'm unable to correct my mistake because Pages converts the cursor to the hand icon and opens an email window. How can I edit an email address without deleting it and starting over?

Place your mouse curser either directly in front of, or behind the address. Now using your "arrow" keys on the keyboard, move over to the area you want to change, and delete what you don't want by clicking delete on the keyboard, and type in what you want.

Open the Link Inspector.
Run the insertion point into the link, uing the arrow keys.
Uncheck the indicated box.
Edit, the select the text.
Recheck the box.

I find it easier to use the Make all hyperlinks inactive option to disable for editing. That way you don't have to mess around with the arrow keys and you can leave the text identified as a link. After editing, reenable all links.
