if i delete images from photo stream do they stay in events

if i delete images that i have made into events in iphoto, can i delete them in my photo stream on my macbook

iPhoto '11, iOS 6.1.3

Without any problem, but note that they will be deleted from Photo Stream in all your devices and computers

thats fine i just want to free my photo stream up on all devices but dont want to lose all images. thank you for your help

Yes - IF they have been imported into events - once a photo is in a event it has no connection to the source photo
