If I buy an iPhone in China will I be able to use the UK app store with my UK iTunes account?

I am working/living in China, and I want to buy a new iPhone. A friend of mine bought a Windows 8 phone and he discovered that the phones, apparantly all of them (across all brands) are region locked, app store wise, to China. So he can't download apps like Skype for example. I want a new phone but I'm worried that if I buy an iPhone here in China I won't be able to access my countries store. I have an old iPhone but it was from the UK so I know I can access the UK store in China. But the issue is, is that will the Chinese sold iPhone only access their own store and no others like the Chinese sold Windows 8 phones?

Hello Rick19992000,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. Look at your question I can say that yes you can change stores. The following article will walk you through it. I also highlighted the specific portion for you.

iOS: Changing the signed-in iTunes Store Apple ID account

Sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you'd like to use. Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.

One last bit of advice is to check to make sure that certain features are going to be present when buying from a different region. You can compare by going to the different regions at the Apple Choose your Region Page
