i'm having the same issue!!!! For about 2 weeks now... its so frusterating. Everybody is telling me its a harware issue 😟 I dont wanna believe it since im determined to fix it. But im leaning more and more toward that conclusion. Have physically damaged it? I've read a lot about how heat and humidity can damage the hard drive (and i'm very guitly of leaving my ipod in the bathroom when i shower). I'm curious to know if this is happening with people who have taken very good care of their ipods.

Classics have so much capicity so i don't want any other ipod but their hard drives aren't build to withstand regular wear and tear!!!! argh so frusterating.
