Today I installed OSX over my 10.6.8 and Safari does not function properly. Have also lost Copernicus. Can this be fixed?

Yesterday I purchased QSX 10.8.3 which downloaded over my 10.6.8. Immediate result was loss of Copernicua and

Safari doing daft things like refusing to download programs as requested. Is there a possibility of repairing this or of getting my old system back, with or without a refund of my $19.99 ?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3), OSX 10.8.3 installed over 10.6.8

Sorry for delay, I pressed the usual green button which usually results in the download commencing. In these caes, something fast and furuous whizzed the lot off into abscurity via the upper right hand corner of the page.

Tried several times. Always same reaction. Is there something else I may try?

I would like to retain the manner of selecting part of a page to print just like the Copernicus ?

An icon that appears in the top right corner or your Sfari screen IS the new download method. You can open it to check advancement by clicking on it. The file, when finished, should be in your 'Downloads' folder. It has been like this in Lion and Mountain Lion for two years. Just a matter of getting used to it.

Good Golly, What a help you have been.. I had no Idea that Copernicus had copped it. I was worried that I would have to toddle off to where I had bought this iMac and wail miserably in his ear.

OOPS..... I bought it at Best Buy, the largest electronics company in Langford which I recall went bankrupt and closed down five weeks ago,

Wonder if you would be kind enough to suggest a Copernicus alternative of a similar ilk? I did find it very useful for my meagre needs.

I would be very happy to download one just to allay my fear that my current dowload function is functioning.....

Sorry for delay. I found it hard to get back to you.

I have now tried to download Skitch. Google provided the window with the download box. When I tried to down load it just shrunk and zipped up into the top right hand corner leaving the screen blank.

I went back to Google and enterred Evernote. A new window appeared. When I tried to download, the same thing happebed,. a blank screen but in the title bar address little box several things happened rapidly then stopped.

It read.......evernote.co./skitch/#..........

I repeated by Googling again to evernote and this time a box appeared requesting my Email. This I enterred... lumpkin@telus.net.

Screen immediately blanked ou and a new window came up declaring "There is no user available for this username or email".

And now I am back to you. Can you help as it seems I may never be able to download anything with this new OSX system.

I have just visited the OSX app site where I selected Paintbrsh1.2 just to see if it would download.

On pressing download, the address window in the title bar flashed blue on and off several times and that was it.

No download window or any sort of response.

I suppose that if OSX had provided me with a C.D. I could have triied to remedy the problem as was possible with the old 10.6.8 C.D.s which came with my iMac.

Back to you old chap....
