Places GPS lookup sends to address

I'm really picky about accurately geotagging photos. I used to find a place on Google Maps, get the longitude/latitude coordinates from there, and copy & paste them into iPhoto, which would give me a pin in that location with the name of the city. Great. But recently (since I installed 9.4.3, as far as I can tell), it only offers me the location of the nearest address it can find, which can be a mile away or more. I know I can move the pin around and rename the place, but doing that for hundreds of places would be too time-consuming.

Is this a behavior that's happening for everyone, or just me? Is it an iPhoto issue or a Google issue? And does anyone know of any solutions?
