calendar sharing

I'm running a Mountain Lion calendar server. An user (ML Calendar app) wants to share some calendars with others. If other users are also using ML Calendar app all is okay: The users get an invitation, accept the invitation and now all users are sharing the calendar.

But: How do I get this work with third party clients? Even the Lion calendar application doesn't work.
