Configuring proxy settings on an iPad via MDM

Has anyone tried configuring proxy server settings as a payload for iOS6 using profile manager?

I send a wifi payload down to an iPad, the settings are displayed as required but when I launch Safari I have no Internet access. If I turn proxy off and on I can access the Internet fine.

If I manually enter the details it works fine immediately so it is only when a profile is first installed. It is like it needs to be initialised\refresh the moment the profile is installed. This happens with all IOS devices.

Anybody else have this issue?

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Cheers,

Mac mini (Mid 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
