Q: My iMac says it is connected but isn't, remote speakers still work, laptop connects.

My iMac says it is connected to the internet but won't load a browser or check email. Remote wirelessspeakers still work and the laptop connects.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Try to keep all software up.

Is this a new development or an on-going problem? If it's just started happening have you tried the simple steps of rebooting the router/modem/computer, etc?
